HCFO is a self funded organisation and does not receive any grants from the government, and each member who embarks on the group mission trip pays their fare and is expected to carry a small amount of medical supplies for the trip to administer care to the south pacific islanders?
HCFO has conducted Medical Mission Camps in Fiji Vanuatu, PNG, and Tonga to date. God willing, in the future HCFO hopes to reach other Pacific Nations as well.
God willing we are planning on medical mission trips to Tonga and Fiji. MOUs are being finalised.
No there is no formal membership process, if you are interested please contact us and come along to one of our face to face chapter meetings or the national zoom meetings.
A mission trip is not for the faint-hearted as conditions could be harsh (very modest accommodation and meals, potential long work hours) As spots are limited, expression of interests could be made to office@hcfoceania.org and conditions could be harsh. We also need an invitation from the local health authorities in the host country. The team is constantly praying for opening of doors in the monthly hub meetings. If you are keen to participate in a medical mission trip it is best to attend the monthly hub meeting to get to know the team and the culture.
Anyone working in the healthcare sector irrespective of the profession or role can join HCFO. HCF is an unique Christian medical organisations where doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, health administrative workers, support workers social workers, psychologists etc are welcome.
No, we need mature believers who have the skill and passion to counsel people and share the gospel to many of the patients who are interested in the gospel or needs someone to pray for them.
We also need believers who have experience with kids ministry or are teachers to help with sharing the gospel with children through games, activities and programs to the many children who accompany their parents to the medical camp.
