Our uniqueness is that we are one of the few Christian organisations in the healthcare field that invites all born again healthcare workers (doctors, nurses, dentists, optometrists, audiologists, allied health, administrators, public health workers) to come together to fellowship and serve in the love and spirit of Lord Jesus Christ. Our membership is not just restricted to healthcare workers as our medical outreaches require counsellors and those working with children to reach out to the crowds who attend our medical clinics.
Our special calling is to serve our neighbours in the Oceania region, the beautiful people of the Pacific Nations.
We are Interdenominational and are joined by the love of Lord Jesus Christ and His great commission. Please refer to our doctrinal statement for details of what we believe and stand for.
Although we have regular fellowship within our organisation to strengthen and support us as Christian healthcare workers, our Focus is Medical Mission trips to the Pacific Nations. We have a heart to administer Health services to remote people in the Pacific Islands who could not otherwise access these medical services.
HCFO members (medical professionals and others) who come on the missions each fund their own trip and on many occasions transport much needed medical supplies in their airline baggage allowance. Accommodation and food is very basic and hours could be long at the clinics, hence a true servant heart is required to serve on these mission trips.
On the other hand as we follow in the footsteps of Christ to follow His command to serve those in need, you will be blessed spiritually and many miracles have been witnessed in these trips over the years as we have partnered with the Creator of this universe in His kingdom work.
Almost all those who have joined the previous medical mission trips have reported that they experienced the tremendous grace of God and found partnering with the Pacific Nation local health professionals, to serve the beautiful Island people, a rich and joyful experience. Many returned impacted and transformed by the love, joy and hospitality of the Island people.
